Description

Peter Quill Attacked Earth's Mightiest Heroes? In an alternate 1988, Peter Quill is taken by the Ravagers to his father Ego, who urges him to help continue the expansion. Six months later, after ravaging several worlds (including Jotunheim and Asgard), Peter targets Earth. In response, Peggy Carter and Howard Stark assemble a team composed of Bill Foster, King T'Chaka of Wakanda, Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier, Mar-Vell / Wendy Lawson and a reluctant Hank Pym, who brings his daughter Hope along. After a scuffle on Coney Island, the team manages to detain Peter with help from Thor. As the team discusses, Peter is freed by Hope, and he travels to Missouri. As the others and Thor aid Carter's armies in holding back Ego, Hank and Lawson encounter Peter visiting his mother's grave, and a sympathetic Hank convinces him to stand against his father. Barnes (under the influence of his manipulators) prepares to assassinate Peter until Stark reminds him of his colleague Steve Rogers. Just as Ego overwhelms the heroes and Carter's forces and attempts to obtain his seed, Hank and Peter arrive in time to stop him, with Peter using the seed to destroy Ego's avatar form. After celebrating their victory, the team sets out to confront Ego's planetary form.
