Although almost incapacitated, Jeanne still wants to fight Vanitas, but Noe emerges from the shadows holding Luca prisoner. Vanitas then surprisingly kisses her and declares his love. Outraged, Jeanne grabs Luca and leaves. Meanwhile, Nox and Manet find Breneux dead. He was attacked by Charlatan, the vampiric monster who had corrupted his name.
