As Kion is thinking of whether to go back to the Pride Lands or stay at the Tree of Life, he and Rani profess their love and Rani proposes to Kion. Before Kion answers, Azaad comes along with Janja and Jasiri, who tell the Lion Guard that Zira and her pride of Outsiders have returned. Kion and the Lion Guard quickly rush back home, with Kion using his roar to take a shortcut taken by Azaad and help make the journey easier. After a long journey, Kion and his friends arrive in the Outlands and prepare themselves to confront Zira's pride.
