A landslide traps some miners. There is only one way to free the men: you have to blow up the entrance to the mine with a lot of dynamite. However, the army refuses to cooperate and so Zorro sets out to get the dynamite. Lieutenant Placid, who is new to the fort, sends his men after Zorro, but when he hears what the dynamite is used for, he gives in.
