After robbing a jewelry store, the crooked Dr. Cool and a henchman are tracked to their hideout by the web-slinger. Spider-Man defeats Cool's henchman, but is knocked out by Dr. Cool's cane shooting the top off. Dr. Cool ties him up and puts him in a deep freeze unit along with the stolen diamonds where he blacks out and is frozen solid. After a time, the power to the deep freeze runs down and the wall-crawler awakens to find that decades have passed and the world is in ruins...
