The mysterious Go invites Kei and Benkei to board the Shin Getter as the battle rages on the surface, made even more ferocious by the appearance of a huge mobile tower-like fortress, commanded by former Getter squad member Hayato and Prof. Shikishima. The two also lead the team of robots that are fighting the Invaders. The outcome of the battle seems obvious but the fate of the game is overturned by the appearance of the Shin Getter Robot, which easily slaughters the enemy monsters. The heroes, however, instead of gratitude, receive in exchange the manifestations of hatred of the pilots, commanded by Schwarz, lined up against the Japanese, found guilty of having discovered the Getter Rays that destroyed the world. Hayato and Shikishima cause the Shin Dragon to emerge from underground and explain to Benkei their intention to destroy it. The Invaders unleash a surprise attack, merging with the wreckage of a huge robot shot down the same day; Benkei is injured and cannot take the stress of driving a Getter Machine. Go decides that Gai, the team mechanic, will take over from Benkei and so a new Getter Team takes off into the sky.
