Sanzang notices the weaknesses of Hua, Cheng and Tang and so he gives each of the three a special task. Hua, the hot-headed and willing to take risks, must learn to assess the dangers correctly and first observe and think before she acts. In this case, your teacher is a turtle. Tang, the arrogant and know-it-all, must learn to get off his high horse. He meets a vagabond whom he treats very condescendingly. When the two measure their strength, Tang succumbs to the supposedly weaker. He has now learned that he must not be blinded by outward appearances. Cheng is transferred to his home village, where Heihu bullies his family and the other villagers.
