Tang completes a test of courage and goes into the mumbling pavilion where Tai-Kui is up to mischief. After five minutes, he flees in panic. During an encounter with the Black Foxes, Cheng meets his old friend Wang, who has apparently switched to the Black Foxes' side. Cheng decides to convince Wang that his path is wrong. He secretly sneaks out of Shaolin, followed by Hua and Tang. Of course, he is captured by the Black Foxes and brought to Heihu. When the latter threatens to throw him into the snake pit, Cheng says he knows where the second book of wisdom is and leads Heihu and his minions into the murmuring pavilion. Hua and Tang follow. Tang, Cheng, Sanzang and Fong suddenly appear there as ghosts, but they embody our friends' fears. They manage to free Cheng and convince Wang that serving Heihu is the wrong way.
