While Körin starts the rescue operation, Ryüren tells a sleeping Shürei that he'll go ahead to meet Eigetsu. After a touching reunion(and a long one at that), Eigetsu urges Körin to save the villagers rather than him. Seiran and Ryüren infiltrate the Jasenkyö hideout in different ways, with Seiran rescuing the villagers and Ryüren helping an unconscious Eigetsu back up. Meanwhile, Shürei and Ensei walks inside the hideout and meets with the fake Döshu whose body possessed by a boy, oblivious to the trap set before them.
