Sissi and Franz have a fight. Disappointed, the princess leaves her groom and returns to Possenhofen Castle. Empress Sophie, Prince Zottornik and Franz' former fiancé Helene are overjoyed: now they can calmly weave new intrigues that should bring Franz and Helene back together. So that Franz considers Helene warm and kind, she even works as a caretaker in the children's home - a move with bitter consequences for the orphans.
