Kiyoka, Ookaito and Kazushi meets with Takaihito. Takaihito reveals that the imperial captial will be invaded by the Grotesqueries. Meanwhile, Miyo learns about Western etiquettes for the upcoming party. As Kiyoka worries over Miyo suffering from her nightmares, he sends Iwashimizu to gather information about the Usuba family. That night, Kiyoka and his subordinates encounter the Grotesqueries and manage to destroy them. The next morning, Miyo suddenly faints during her training day and encounters Arata, who catches her in his arms.
