After Omnised fails to obtain the Tamers' Handbook for Magnacat, Zick and Elena find a map in the Handbook about a secret door in the Ancient Armory. Along with Timothy, they go to investigate it. They later find the Hall of the Hundred Doors, and encounter the Flyvans, ancient winged monsters that were companions of Tamers.
