Kano attacks Chihiro first, expecting that Chihiro will focus on defence due to his fear of losing and disappointing his teammates, but Chihiro decides to attack as well by copying Odenta’s thrusting palm strikes and almost causes Kano to drop to the ground. Kano believes that being second place to Tennoji was something to be proud of and refuses to lose to anyone except Tennoji and manages to get both hands on Chihiro's belt.
