Umaru uses her fearsome crane game prowess to win multiple prizes in a single try, much to the dismay of the arcade staff. The next day, Umaru and her classmates participate in a tennis match, which her self-proclaimed rival Sylphynford Tachibana takes very seriously. Later, Umaru accidentally breaks a porcelain akabeko given to Taihei by his co-worker, Alex, and attempts to fix it before he comes home. Umaru later participates in a fighting game tournament under her alias UMR, becoming surprised to be facing off against Sylphynford, who proves to be a tough opponent in the finals. However, Sylphynford suddenly becomes embarrassed when she notices Alex, her brother, has been watching her and runs off, resulting in Umaru winning by default.
