Skeletor captures the Royal Family and holds them prisoner, and the one person who can save them is Queen Marlena, who resumes her old role of space captain and proves she still has great piloting skills as she uses the Rainbow Explorer- the ship that brought her to Eternia- to lead a battalion of soldiers to the rescue. Teela and Queen Marlena (unusually implicitly) tell viewers old people and young people both have things to teach the other, which can't be learned from themselves.
