Kirinmaru tries to apologize to Sesshömaru for Zero stepping out of line and breaking Tenseiga, but Sesshömaru is intent on killing her again, no longer worried about Rin bound to hers as it will only prolong her sadness. With Zero accepting the challenge, Kirinmaru is forced to intervene by scattering the Rainbow Pearls, leading Zero to renounce her relation with Kirinmaru and leaving to find the pearls again. Sesshömaru and Riku follow suit, the latter wounding Kirinmaru beforehand. As the girls fight without the pearls, Kirinmaru incapacitates Setsuna and destroys the naginata blade...
