Hope!! Once More Awaken in the Present, Trunks.Goku Black (ゴクウブラック, Gokū Burakku) taunts Future Trunks for failing to save his loved ones, provoking the youth to assume Super Saiyan form in a losing battle. But Future Trunks distracts Black with an energy attack long enough to reach the Time Capsule and escape 17 years into the past. Meanwhile in the present timeline, Trunks is studying in class along with the Pilaf Gang, who were allowed to live in Capsule Corp. During recess, Trunks witnesses the Time Capsule arriving with Future Trunks inside. He immediately calls for his mother, who contacts Vegeta and Goku while Trunks and the Pilaf Gang are confused by the stranger having both Trunks's face and name. Bulma asks Trunks to power up in order for Goku to be able to teleport himself and Vegeta to their location, Whis and Beerus joining in to see what's going on. Vegeta asks Goku to get some Senzu beans. Goku goes to Korin's place to get some Senzu beans. Future Trunks regains consciousness, and attacks Goku upon assuming him to be Black.
