The kidnapped girl is Ami Takigawa, his girlfriend who works with him at a restaurant called "La Mucho". Beppu is threatened: "If you want Ami returned safely, come to Yonehana Park tonight at 12:00 pm by yourself, and do not inform the police. As Conan and Ran looked on, they thought to themselves, "I feel like I've seen this somewhere before.
