Haruna is led by Giganet through ComNet: strangely, Giganet's intent seems to be to train the girl to become a Virtual. Giganet, posing as Professor Inukai, instructs Haruna to track down the Virtual programs and informs her that, due to a trivial misunderstanding, her place has been taken by Yui; Haruna, fearing for the life of her friend, accepts. Meanwhile, the Virtuals gather in Galaxy Land and track down Professor Inukai and Wolf within a hidden area of the site, created by a bug. Here they find Synchro's ComCon bracelet, containing the memory of the last Virtual, thanks to which an incredible truth comes to light: Synchro is actually Wolf, infected and transformed into Corruptor by Giganet while trying to protect Professor Inukai. The latter, to mislead Giganet, hid the data relating to his conscience in the Synchro ComCon, programming the bracelet in such a way as to recover the memories when the eight Virtuals had gathered. Thus Professor Inukai rediscovers his memory and Yui, aided by the Virtuals, initialises and frees Synchro, who returns to himself. The eight Virtuals are finally reunited, but the surprises are not over. Professor Inukai, in fact, is very surprised to meet Yui, because it was not her that I.R. he had to charge to become a Virtual, but another girl: Haruna Kisaragi.
