The Great White Rabbit has been promoted from the Royal Herald to the Royal Captain. The Queen of Hearts entrusted her sailing yacht and crew to him of all people. Alice is allowed to go on board, but if she had known the aim and purpose of the sea voyage, she would certainly have preferred to stay on land.
